All that you wanted to know about the hair extensions!

Hi guys!

This post is going to be a bit different from my past (ootd) posts, because I have received lots of questions regarding my hair & hair extensions.

So in this post I wanted to answer to all of your questions and give you some of my recommendations for the best hair extensions!

Now, to answer the first question, yes, I sometimes wear hair extensions in my videos / photos (see the pic above).

No, I don't wear hair extensions on a daily basis, because my hair is naturally quite long!

(in fact, if you compare the first pic where I have my hair extensions put in, and the second pic, where I don't have any hair extensions, you'll notice that the difference is quite small actually!)

Why do I sometimes wear hair extensions?

First of all, because I like to add an extra volume to my hair (the hair extensions that I have are pretty much the same length as my natural hair, maybe just a tad bit longer, so they don't add that much to the length...)

I love super thick, voluminous hair, especially when I want to play with different hair styles, or when I want to wear a super thick braid, or a fishtail!

My first set of hair extensions came from a wholesale virgin hair supplier who wanted to promote their business by sending me their products to showcase in my videos and review in my blog posts!

I had never wore hair extensions before, so I thought I'd give it a try and see what's it all about!

Luckily, the hair that I got was actually a great quality, 100% human hair, it felt so soft & silky to the touch, and because those were clip-in hair extensions, it was really easy to clip them in & take them out!

How to choose the right colour?

If you're buying your hair extensions on-line, you'll probably get better deal than if you were to purchase them in your local beauty/ hair supplies store, but picking out the right shade that will perfectly match your hair colour might be a little bit tricky!

The web stores will have a colour chart, so make sure to study it carefully, and, if you have any doubts/ questions, don't hesitate to contact the customer's service, after all, they're here to help you out!

As my hair is highlighted, and I actually have more than just only one shade of blonde/brown, it was easier for me to pick out the colour of the hair extensions that would perfectly blend with my hair colour (I always went for the highlighted hair extensions, with more than only one colour, so I was sure it would blend in with my hair!)

Where to buy hair extensions?

There are so many different places that you can get your hair extensions from!

I would suggest getting them on-line, because you might save up significantly, and it's a good idea to always check if the company has current promotions/discount coupon codes.

It's hard for me to promote only one web store, because I did get different sets of hair extensions from different places, and I was eaqually satisfied with the quality of the hair!

I can name one company that is a wholesale hair weave supplier with a long tradition of selling good quality hair extensions at affordable prices (check the link for more info!)

You should also make sure to check the on-line reviews before making your decision!

The great thing about the on-line reviews is that you can actually come across genuine reviews from the actual paying customers, and those are the ones that matter the most!

However, even if I did receive my sets of hair extensions for free, I always made sure to give my honest review!

My policy is not to review the product if it's bad! I stand by my words and can't bring myself to recommend things that I wouldn't normally want to purchase myself!

I can't vouch the same thing for the other bloggers/vloggers, though!

How to take care of your hair extensions?

Your hair extensions will normally arrive with the set of care instructions, but here are some tips that I stick to:

• When washing your hair extensions, you must gradually wet the hair down and brush it gently before you completely wash the hair.
• If the hair is very dry and a lot of water is added at once, it will swell up like a sponge and tangle!

• Make sure to brush the hair often and apply some leave-in conditioners to make the hair soft and moist.
• Store your hair extensions properly, in a right sized box, that will prevent them to get all tangeld up and will preserve them over time!

Hair extensions are fun, I say go for it even if you already have pretty long hair, because they'll make it even more gorgeous!
