How to Style Crochet Shorts

Hello girls!

In one of my recent hauls, I showed you a pair of crochet shorts that I got at Zara.
Crochet shorts are a must for this season!
At first, I was thinking that styling them won't be easy, but then I browsed through my wardrobe and created lots of different styles! I'm really satisfied at how versatile this item turned out to be! I can now wear my crochet shorts for casual days, as well as for going out at night and dressing them up!

Here are a few styling ideas that I shared with you:

I got them in an off-white colour, but I also loved the black ones and the powdery, dusty rose colour ones!
Zara has got such an amazing collection this season!
If I manage, at sales, I'll get another pair of these shorts, maybe in black... (!!)

Casual daytime style

- pairing my crochet shorts with a mint green loose top (from H&M, 9.95€, current collection), and with my studded sneakers.
- Don't forget a cropped denim jacket, and stack your random bracelets for an ultra trendy look!

Ring & bracelets: H&M (current collection)
Skull studded clutch: INA market (Italy)
Rose gold watch: Fossil
Silver side cross necklace: b-deas jewellery

Casual style option # 2

- Go for a vibrant colours, or neon colours!
- Here I'm wearing my orange Tee from H&M (Conscious Collection, past season's)

Cropped denim jacket is from New Yorker (current collection, bought in Croatia.)

Dressing it up for a daytime event

- I paired my shorts with a sheer blouse (H&M, Conscious Collection, currently in stores, 24.95€) and a pair of comfy, but cute, wedges (bought in Croatia a few years ago!)
- I completed the styling with a small orange bag from H&M (past season's collection, but you can probably get similar styles this season as well!)that I wore across my shoulders.

I'm wearing my blouse tucked inside of my shorts, for a more, polished/ chic feel.
The blouse is quite sheer, so I'm wearing a mint green colour bra underneath (you can also wear a bandeau top, or a cami).

"Evening out" styling

- I'm wearing a trendy print top (with cut-out back details), (Bershka, current collection, 12.95€)and I completed the styling with a pair of feminine high heeles! (these color blocking ones from Zara are a must this season. They also come in a different color blocking combinations, but I opted for a black/beige/orange because I can pair them with most of the things from my wardrobe!)

Small orange clutch/ wristlet is Coach, and my suede- like jacket is H&M (divided, early Spring collection).

These were just a couple of styling ideas!
I'm sorry I didn't include the pics of the footwear, but make sure to check out my styling video tutorial, & you'll see all the footwear that I mentioned in this blog post!

I'm still waiting for the right weather conditions to be able to wear my crochet shorts (the Springtime in Italy has been soo chilly so far!), but, I'm hoping, one of these days!!! :)

Hope this post got you inspired!

xoxo Sonja

Requested: What I Ate Today?

Hi girls!

On my formspring, I got asked so many times, to do this type of video, a video that would show you my diet, what I normally eat in a day.

So the other day, I took my camera and started filming my meals, starting from breakfast...I included all the meals I had that day, even the "unhealthy" snacks ;)

I hope you'll find this video interesting & if you'd want me to, I can film more of these in the future!

I try to eat different things every day, just because I like to vary my diet!

My Favourite Phyto Paris Hair Care Products!

Hello beauties!

I wanted to share my current favourite products, when talking about hair care!
Phyto Paris is definitely my favourite haircare brand of the moment. Phyto products just feel so luxurious on my hair, and I can really tell a difference, since I started using them.

My hair has been healthier, shinier, longer and just overall better looking! :)

So these are the products that really made a difference:

From left, to right: Phytokarité hair mask, Phytojoba hair shampoo, Phytodéfrisant hair relaxing balm,
Phytophanère supplements for healthy hair & nails.

Phyto Paris Laboratories extract the most effective active ingredients from the heart of the plant world to create highly concentrated, innovative and efficient formulas for beautiful, healthy hair.

Weakened from within, ultra- dry hair is characterized by a dual deficiency in moisture and lipids (sebum), which alters its elasticity and supleness. As a result, it becomes porous and loses certain essential elements, such as keratin (amino acids).
Ultra- dry hair tends to be difficult to detangle, coarse and brittle, and requires replenishing with nourishing and restorative agents.

Phytokarité ultra nourishing mask with shea butter

The intensely enriching PHYTOKARITE mask immerses ultra- dry hair in a genuine nutritional bath to deeply repair and restructure. Shea butter, a precious, intensely nourishing active ingredient is combined with a synergy of cashew and pastel oils rich in essential fatty aciuds, to regenerate and revitalise the hair.
The wood cellulose derivative is a genuine water captor that protects the hydrating balance, while the castor bean and colza derivatives coat and enhance the hair to make detangling easy. Deeply revitalised, the hair's suppleness, softness and shine is restored.

Directions for use

Wash hair, apply a quarter size amount of PHYTOKARITE to ends and lenghts of towel- dried hair.
Comb through to evenly distribute the product over the entire head of hair. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the level of hair porosity and thickness.
Rinse thoroughly.

PHYTOJOBA Intense hydration brilliance shampoo

With jojoba oil, coconut oil, cornflower and mallow extraction (40%)
Specifically formulated for dry hair, PHYTOJOBA is a rich and creamy shampoo that intensely hydrates and softens. Jojoba oil, extracted from the jojoba plant seeds, is used for its softening benefits as well as its incredible compatibility with the hair structure. Jojoba oil is a unique plant- based liquid wax with emollient, regenerating and protecting properties that provides intense hydration and shine. Cornflower and mallow, combined with a gentle cleansing base formulated with coconut oil, deliver extreme softness. Hair instantly regains its optimal hydration levels, suppleness and luster.

Apply shampoo to wer hair, massage gently into hair, rinse thoroughly.

PHYTODEFRISANT Botanical straigtening balm

99% botanical: mallow, ferula, sage, horseradish and chamomile matricaria extracts.
You can achieve the perfect salon blow- out at home with PHYTODEFRISANT. This unique, non- chemical formula combines plant extracts to aid in straightening frizzy, wavy or curly hair, while protecting it from heat- styling damage.
Lightweight and non- greasy, the alcohol- free formula hydrates and strengthens hair, preppping it for a smooth and sleek style.
Straightening effect is cumulative with continued use.

Directions for use

Apply a dab of product to clean, damp hair. Distribute evenly through hair using a wide- tooth comb. Do not rinse!
Proceed with blow- drying, as this product is heat- activated.

For more details, you can also check out my video review on the Phyto botanical hair relaxing balm:

PHYTOPHANERE Hair & Nails food supplements

These supplements will help your hair & nails grow long & strong!
They're rich in fatty acids, Vitamin E, group of Vitamin B (B8, B5, B6, B2), omega 3 and omega 6 ..
The bottle contains 90 capsules, and recommended daily dose is 2 capsules.
The best results are obtained when using these food supplements for 4 months.

I have already been using this treatment last year and now I have repurchased it.
I remember my colleagues from work asking me have I put in hair extensions, after only 2 weeks of using these supplements!
My hair was getting really long, really fast :)

So this is definitely great product if you're looking to grow your hair long & healthy, faster :)

Nail Polish of the Moment: Kiko Make Up Milano Hot Pink #282

Hello beauties!

Finally, a lovely & warm Sunday!
I painted my nails (actually, I've done a complete mani & pedi!), with one of my favourite colours of the moment: This hot, vibrant pink colour, by Kiko Make Up Milano.

Kiko was recently having a promotion on their nail polishes, they were all discounted to only 2.50€!
I absolutely love Kiko nail polishes (lacquers), because they always come up with the most trendy colours of the season, and their quality is just great!
They're long lasting, great colour pay off (no need to layer & layer multipule coats of the nail polish to get to the desired colour!), and pretty fast drying!
Even their retail price isn't that bad (they're around 4.90€), but as I've said, this past month, the nail polishes were all reduced to only 2.50€

When it comes to a nail polish, what more can you ask for? ;)

The colours were truly amazing, but I had to restrain myself (I already have TOO MANY nail polishes), so I picked up only two.

This is one of the colours that I picked up, and I'm wearing it today on my hands & my toes (even though I usually prefer to wear a different colour of my toes, from the one that I'm wearing on my hands!)

Kiko Make Up Milano nail lacquer
#282

This is going to be one of my favourite colours to paint my nails with,
this Spring & Summer season!
It makes me happy, just looking at it :)

Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday!
I'm preparing a quick vlog for you, so stay tuned to my MissTrendyKitty vlog channel :)

xoxo Sonja

Just perfect for Springtime as it makes your face really radiant and healthy looking!
