L'Oreal Preference Hair Color Review & Demo | Dark Natural Brown #4 Tahiti

Hello beauties!

As you probably already know, for over a year now, I've been coloring my hair at home and a few months ago I decided to go ombre. I've had the ombre look before, but it was always professionally done.

When touching up my roots at home with light blonde, they would either go towards yellow, or turn out very brassy, so I've decided to buy a darker shade, to create the ombre effect.

At first, I was using the natural cold blonde or dark ash blonde shades, some from drugstore brands, some were professional hair colors, but recently I decided to go even darker! This is the darkest I've been in a long time!

I've purchased the shade #4 Tahiti by L'Oreal Preference and it's a dark natural brown color. This certainly would not have nice results if I put it on my blonde lengths (I could end up with a green hair!!!) but on my brassy roots, it took a perfect tone! I absolutely loved it and it didn't have any unwanted red undertones, just a very natural brown shade.

This is the last box hair dye that I tried before my mommy makeover (two weeks ago) when I went back to blonde (professionally done at hair salon in Italy).

Even though my hair is different color now, I wanted to quickly review this one, as I think it might be interesting to some of you!

It covers all the grays nicely and it leaves your hair very soft and nicely scented (thanks to the conditioner that comes with the color, it's really amazing!)

The color is pretty long lasting and it seems pretty nourishing as well: In the kit you'll actually get a little oil capsule that you're supposed to mix with the color and developer; this is one extra step to help protect and nourish your hair, whilst coloring it and I think it really works!

So far, this is one of my favorite colors and coloring lines (I might try different, but similar shades, from the same L'Oreal Preference line).

I've had a similar hair color a couple of years ago and it was done by a hair salon, but, can you even tell the difference??

New In: Affordable, Pigmented Makeup from Born Pretty Store

Today's post is a #NewIn haul. I ordered a few bits from bornprettystore, the brand I've been collaborating with since I started my youtube & blogger journey! They've always been appealing to me, because of the good quality items at very affordable prices! I'm sure there's actually no need for me to praise them, since most of you already know about them and to prove that most things they offer go out of stock super quickly!

This time I ordered 4 makeup items for a total of $10 budget! As I'm more conscious about my beauty purchases, I only go for the items I need and know that I would get to use on a day to day basis.

Anyway, here's what I purchased:

8 Colors Shimmer Eyeshadow Makeup Palette Long Lasting Eyeshadow 9 Pattens #24110 available here for $ 2.59.

It's a very cute eyeshadow palette, ideal for traveling or when you're on the go. The eyeshadows are very pigmented, mostly shimmery and they do have some fall out but if you go light handed and you're careful enough, they're easy to apply!

This palette comes in different color options so you can choose the one that best suits you!

To make the eyeshadows more long lasting, I picked the BONNIE CHOICE 6ml Eye Shadow Primer Make Up Base Natural Professional Long-lasting Cosmetic Cream #42350 available here for $ 2.99.

This is also a makeup primer that's supposed to smooth out the fine lines and wrinkles and you can use it on your eyelids and or the rest of the face.

I'm very happy with the quality of Bonnie Choice products and I've mentioned this in one of my previous post, their super pigmented and long lasting lipsticks, that are simply a must have for anyone who loves a good matte liquid lipstick that also has a great staying power!

Next in my shopping cart, I added a 1Pc Glow Shimmer Liquid Highlighter Moisture Shine Makeup Face Eye Contour Brightener Concealer #40172 available here for $ 2.59.

This is such an amazing highlighter!

You can use it under your eyes to brighten up that area or you can apply it as a highlighter on your cheekbones, cupid's bow or wherever you usually like to add a bit of a highlighter.

Extremely pigmented and just beautiful, moonlight/rose color!

Hurry up, these are selling like crazy!

Last, but not least, Mascara Blue Purple Brown Gradient Colorful Curling Eyelash Cosmetic 5 Colors Selectable #161 available here for $ 2.49.

The black one was sold out, so I went for the brown (I haven't used a brown mascara since high school days!). I like the fact that it really curls and lengthens your eyelashes, but I'm not a big fan of waterproof mascaras. However, it was handy to have it this summer and with a good oil based make up remover, it wasn't such a hassle removing it from my eyes in the evening (I recommend Caudalie, Burt's Bees, or Balea from Drogerie Markt if you're on a budget, oil based makeup removers!)

Decluttering My Blush Collection - Everything Needs To Go!!! How To Purge Your Makeup Collection

Hello lovelies,

I'm back with the decluttering series! Earlier this year, I showed you how I decluttered my huge lipstick and lipgloss collection and now I moved onto blushers, highlighters and bronzers. I had way too many and some were truly ancient!

When I say huge makeup collection, well, it may not be huge to you, if you compare it to other youtubers and bloggers but it's huge to me, way too big for my personal needs. It ended up that I was just collecting things, not even knowing what I have and not making the most of some of the wonderful products that I have!

I needed to make this cleanse in order to organise things better. What I wasn't using, I gave to my Mum and friends/ colleagues from work and super old things I had to throw away!

I gave away most of my drugstore products but kept some more recent purchases such as Max Factor blusher and Rimmel bronzer. Almost everything that I had from Essence and Catrice I gave away (not because I didn't love them but because I decided I'd give chance to my high end beauties, such as Dior, Benefit, MAC etc.)

I also parted with some of my first blushers (yes, I still had them!!! crazy, right?), from Deborah. I clearly wasn't using them anymore, but I was keeping them for God knows what reason!? Deborah is  an Italian brand and when I was living in Croatia and fresh out of high school, it was my favorite makeup brand (mind me, we didn't even have that many makeup brands available back then!)

Here is a pile of products that I decided to keep and love!

But, most of them, I gave away!!!  O_O

I really did good and liberated a whole lot of space in my makeup collection.

I was never the person who thinks that makeup collection is a thing. I really believe that if you aren't a makeup artist, then having a makeup collection is pure nonsense and a product of the consumist society we live in! But over the years of blogging and my presence in the beauty community, I accumulated so many products and started referring to them as "my makeup collection."

Now it's time to change this and hopefully set an example: Only keep what you love and use and remember that makeup does have an expiration date! You don't need dupes of dupes of dupes and 10,000 eyeshadow palettes that are pretty much identical.

I filmed a video where I declutter my makeup collection, I go through my blusher, bronzer and highlighter collection and I decide to give away or throw away almost half of it.

I also talk about my jurney towards being less consumist and less influenced by bloggers and influencers to constantly keep buying new products that I don't really need. I'm not aiming to become a minimalist but my goal is to come close to it and be more aware of consumism and be more rational in my future spendings.

Soon I'll show you how I decluttered my eyeshadow and nail polish collection if that's something you'd like to see.

I still do enjoy buying makeup from time to time but not every single week and I need to know that I'm going to be using that product. Now I always try to use up something before getting something new or giving something away if I no longer enjoy using it that much!

Currently On My Shopping List

Hello beauties!

As you already know, if you read my blog, I decided to spend 2017 buying as less as possible and consuming the products I already have without purchasing new ones, if they aren't necessary.

I can say, I did pretty good! I managed to use up a whole bunch of products (empties of 2017 post coming soon) and now I sat down to put together a shopping list of the products I need / want to purchase in the near future.

This will be my guideline and will help me stay on track and not overspend on products I don't really need!

So in this post I'll share with you my current shopping list (from which, at this point, I got 2 products).

Caudalie Make Up Removing Cleansing Oil

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water

Both cleansers have great reviews on Caudalie's website, so I'm looking forward to trying them out. I ran out of face /makeup cleansers, so these were at the top of my list.

They're currently on their way to me as I ordered them online through Caudalie's website (better prices, great customer service and fidelity reward program!).

Next items are on my current wishlist and I'm hoping to buy them in January and the first months of 2018.

Clarisonic Replacement Brush Head

I love my Clarisonic and I've been using it in my skincare routine religiously for a couple of years now. However, I'm ashamed to admit that I've had my brush head for way too long! I actually replaced it only once (they recommend replacing it every three months, ugh! I better not say for how long I've had mine then!). 

Tigi Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey Nourishing Mask

I'm waiting to use up the conditioner I currently have before purchasing this mask. I have a feeling my hair is gonna love it!

REN Vita Mineral Omega 3 Optimum Skin Oil

I love face oils and I've heard great things about REN but never had a chance to try it out. When I'll be running low on my usual skin care products, this product is definitely going to go in my shopping basket.

These few items I'd like to get from Feelunique as I've already had a great shopping experience at that online store. They have great selection of brands, easy to find what you need, good prices, fast delivery, great customer service. They often have promo codes & deals if you subscribe to their newsletter!

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

The one and only, they say, but I've never had a chance to try it out (yet!)

I'd like to order it through Kiehl's Italy web store, as the price is a bit better than on some other web stores, plus they have free shipping in Italy.

Paperblanks diary for 2018.

This next item isn't fashion or beauty related, but as it's on my shopping list, I thought I'd show it to you anyway! I love to write in notebooks and planners and Paperblanks is my planner of choice! Their quality is amazing and the prints too! In the previous years I've had the one with the cats and then, butterfly print and for 2018, I'd love to write down all my plans, projects and ideas into this lovely agenda: this lovely print is by Mila Marquis.

These are the items currently on my shopping list! Did I say I wanted to buy them in the first months of 2018.? They all cost quite a bit!

Does anyone want to be my "Secret Santa"? LOL

Anyway, I hope this inspired you. My motto from now on is to buy less and spend on quality items that I really need and will enjoy using! I don't need to clutter my life with a bunch of stuff I won't even be using.

I'm thinking of doing another list for January/ February sales, only carefully selected items, to prevent me from going crazy during the "irresistible" sales period!

TOP 5 NAIL POLISH COLOURS! Collab video!

ENG: Hello loves! It's time to bring back beauty posts here on my blog! I like to have the variety of topics to write about here on my blog, but lately I was more focused on fashion aspect of my blog, than anything else! I neglected the whole beauty aspect of my blog and now I feel like balancing those two big passions of mine again in my blogging adventures :-)

Today's post is related to a recent collab video that I uploaded on my youtube channel and it was about TOP 5 BEAUTY PRODUCTS.
I did this collab with six other youtubbers, and my topic was to show you my top 5 fave nail polish colors! Narrowing it down to only 5 wasn't an easy task, but somehow I managed to do it!
I tried to select some colours that I love for spring/summer, and some that I wear mostly in autumn/winter time.

Na temu collab videa zeljela sam jos napisati da je to odlican nacin upoznavanja kolegica youtuberica, razmjene savjeta i promicanja vlastitog, ali i tudjih kanala. Ja vec dugo radim collab videe na engleskom kanalu, ali voljela bih napraviti i collab na hrvatskom kanalu! Soon after trying them out, I found out why all the beauty bloggers love them so much! These lip balms are so soft on your lips and they give them just a hint of colour and make them look so pretty and natural :)

They're perfect for everyday wear, especially if you're not a big lipstick lover, but you still want to keep your lips super hydrated and with a hint of colour.


Ubrzo nakon sto sam ih isprobala bilo mi je jasno zbog cega ih svi toliko hvale! Izuzetno su ugodni na usnicama i daju im savrsenu hidrataciju, a buduci da su i lagano obojeni, usne jednostavno izgledaju ljepse!

Boje na usnama nisu jako intenzivne, ovi balzami ih samo lagano oboje.
Idealni su za svaki dan, skolu, fax ili posao, kada ne zelite (ili ne smijete) nositi puno sminke na licu, a opet zelite izgledati dotjerano i njegovano :)

As you can tell, the colours are very sheer and glossy!
The lips are left feeling very soft, and the scent these lip balms have is so appealing!

Kao sto mozete vidjeti po swatchevima, nijanse su vrlo njezne i sjajne!
Nakon nanosenja, vase usne postaju vrlo mekane, a sam miris ovih balzama izuzetno je primamljiv!
