Hi guys!

This is going to be just a quick fashion themed post, to let you know that I have a new video up on my channel!
This time, i reviewed my Nike Air Max 98 trainers that I wear for work (I work standing/ walking on my feet all the time, so it's a non stop moving and considering that I work long hours, it can be quite stressful on my feel/ legs, so I need very comfy footwear!).

In this review video I also tell you about how to choose the right size for you, and explain how do they fit. I got them at King of Trainers store in Italy, and they often have pretty good deals, especially on last sizes.

If you're looking for comfy, yet stylish trainers that you can wear at work, but also for everyday walks etc. you might be interested in this Air Max 98 model.

For work, I have another pair of trainers, by New Balance (also very comfy!).
I filmed a review on them a couple of months ago, but haven't shared it here on my blog. If you're on a lookout for a good pair of trainers that are super comfy, you might find that review helpful too:

Hello lovelies!

I have a new video up on my channel, in which I talk about my experience in using high lift hair colour and 40. volume developer (oxidizing cream) at home, in attempt to get that perfect blonde hair! I've been trying to learn how to colour my hair blonde at home (well, touch up my roots, because the rest - the length, I mean, is my hairdresser's merit, I can't take credit for that!), to save up some money (going at hairdresser's can be quite expensive!), but also because I don't really have time to go to a hairdresser's salon and sit there for hours. Now that we were in quarantene for months, it seemed like the right timing to finally try to learn how to get (or at least come close to) that professional result at home!
I used professional hair colours by Kay Pro, from Caviar Supreme line.
Before I got started, I also informed myself about what high lift hair colour actually is and how it works, and what is the difference between high lift hair colour and bleach.

You can learn more in my video here:

This is my kit for hair colouring!

I mix 11.1 Superlight Blonde Platinum Ash with 10.1 Blonde Platinum Ash Extra to get better result

This time, I used vol. 40, because I was hoping to get better result, without yellow/orange hues

I placed on-line order at Beauty&Co. and got all the professional products that I needed to have the best possible result

I mixed 50 ml of 11.1 with 25 ml of 10.1 (total of 75ml of the colour) with 100 ml of 40 vol developer
(but I was advised to use more oxidizing cream the next time, as with high lift colours, the ratio is 1:2, so I gues I should be using the 150 ml, if I got it right!)

The result (screenshots from my video)

I was pleased with the result, but it ended up even better after I toned it with Schwarzkopf Ashy Blonde toner:

See the result here (& also check out my review of this toner):

Blonde hair needs some extra love, so here is how I take care of it:

I hope this post was helpful if you're looking on how to colour your hair at home like a pro! :-)
Good luck!

It was my birthday past week!

Hello lovely people!

This past Friday, it was my birthday (I was born on June, 5th. 1981.) which means I turned 39 this year!  Quite scary, I'm not going to lie! The thought of this year being the last year of my thirties, makes me a little anxious, haha! I should probably be saying: "Age is just a number", or "The older, the wiser", or a similar cliche', but I'd rather just open up about my true feelings.
Now I don't think that being 40 is old, but what scares me is how quickly the time flies! I can't seem to understand when and where did my twenties and thirties go so quickly!!!

I'm not so scared of aging, in terms of getting fine lines and wrinkles, but I'm scared of that part of aging where my body just gets too old to have children, to reproduce.
I consider myself blessed with my little son! When I became a first time Mom, at the age of 35, I didn't think I was ever going to feel the desire to have more kids. But with time, I started feeling it. This voice inside of me, calling out for another child. Because my husband and I are into this parenting adventure all on our own, it's not easy to take this decision to try for another child, knowing that we can't count on anybody to help us, ever. Most times I'm 24/7 with my little one, as my hubby often travels for work.

When is the right time to try for a second child?

Well, certainly before your fourties, I'd say!
And certainly not when you're struggling in raising your first born (I don't actually think that I'm "struggling", but I'm certainly giving 100% of myself), and during a world pandemic!
But we can't put our lives on hold, years still go by and they do count! Next year, I'll be 40. And then what? So, you do get the general idea of what's on my mind.
I never ever thought I'd want to have kids in the first place, but luckily I changed my mind around my mid thirties and gave a beautiful life to this world!
If I was any smarter, I would have made this decision entering my thirties, and I wouldn't have waited for such a long time, doubting and questioning myself. But you can't turn back time. You can only learn from past experiences.
So my message to all of you, reading this, and recognizing yourself in some parts of it, is not to keep postponing this decision about becoming a mother. It's truly the best thing that can happen to you, and a continuous source of joy and happiness.

I don't know what the future holds for me, as I'm not alone in this decision, but obviously my hubby's words count too. I just hope that I'm going to be at peace with whatever outcome it may be.

I'd love to hear your stories! I don't often write about these things on my blog, as I usually write about more superficial things, but this is another thing I'd like to change / switch up a bit, here in the future!
I guess it being my birthday, getting so close to the big 4 0 made me reflect on things even more and I felt like sharing these thoughts with you!

Now, on a lighter note, let me share with you some pics from my birthday, and some birthday gifts that I received, that I'm so grateful on!
Btw...I spent half day in my pajamas, and having afternoon nap with my son. In the afternoon my in-laws came by, and they were so sweet, they brought a cake and presents (they aren't always like this, lol!). In the evening I went to take a long shower, washed my hair, and put on a new pajamas, haha!
It was actually nice to have my in-laws come over, after a long quarantine period here in Italy, and not being able to socialize. It felt good, and I was happy :-)

My father in law brought me these two lovely rings from Samarcanda jewellery
The one on the left is silver with labradorite stones and madreperla, and the other one is a simple wooden ring, made in India.

No make up kind of day :-)

My hubby's present was this new vacuum cleaner (by Bosch), and my little one offered to clean instead of me :-)
My boys <3

39 is not 40!

happy with my little one!

since I'm spending so much time at home...UGG slippers :-)
Another gift from my hubby
Helena Christensen for H&M black T-shirt with floral print
The following are the gifts from my Mum :-)

these high waisted beige pants are going to be ideal for this season!
(also H&M)

This is how I imagined the complete styling, the belt is vintage leather,
bought years ago in one italian thrift store
I'm in love with these Dr. Marten's shoes

This backpack has been on my wish list for the longest time!
I was actually debating whether I should get the simple black, or this vibrant version.
I decided to get the colorful one, since I just gravitate towards colorful things more!
Since I became a Mum, I switched completely to wearing back packs! Luckily they're on trend too :-)

Another lovely gift by my in-laws, this big bag is ideal for grocery shopping, or going to the beach!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post!
Have a lovely day y'all :-)

Hello lovelies!

I'm back with a summer skin care themed post! :-)
Summer is knocking on our doors so I thought it's the right timing to share with you some of my beauty must haves for hot summer months, starting from my favourite sunscreen that I use for my face!

I'm talking about La Roche Posay Anthelios Shaka fluid spf 50 (non perfumed) that I bought a few weeks ago, through one italian pharmacy website (farmae.it)

It provides a very high UVA + UVB protection so it's definitely my must- have when it comes to summer time and going to the beach.
It's a very light fluid that absorbs super quickly and it doesn't leave any greasy, or white marks on your skin. You can wear it alone, or under your foundation.

It's ultra light and fresh fluid that absorbs into your skin super quickly and easily

It absorbs quickly into your skin, and as you can see from the photo, it doesn't leave any white or oily traces

If you'd like to hear more about this product & why do I love it so much, check out my video review:

Let me know what is on your summer skin care must haves list?

I'll talk more about other skin care faves soon :-)

Hello lovelies!

It's been a while since I posted about skincare here on my blog (even though I regularly review my awesome skincare finds on my youtube channel).
Since I became a Mum, it's been impossible for me to keep updated all my social medias, at all times!!! I'm sure a lot of you will understand me. So whenever I can, I post about things that make me happy, because I genuinely love sharing these topics with you.

A few months ago, I had a chance to start using Yeouth skincare products, and since I love them so much, I thought I'd share my review here on my blog too!

First, I introduced their Vitamin C Facial Cleanser with Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Seaweed to my skin care routine, and later on I started using the Balancing Facial Toner.

Yeouth Vitamin C Facial Cleanser contains antioxidant- rich Vitamin C to help brighten, nourish, and hydrate all skin types, including sensitive and maturing skin.
The gentle formula cleanses without stripping the skin of natural oils, washing off easily with water.
It removes make up including mascara without irritating the eyes and cuts through grime, pollution, and dirt to leave skin soft, moisturized, and supple.

How YEOUTH Vitamin C Facial Cleanser Works:

  • A powerful antioxidant that rejuvenates maturing skin, Vitamin C boosts the skin's collagen production and helps protect the skin from damaging free radicals
  • Softens and soothes the skin without clogging pores
  • Contains the natural skin-loving superfood green tea
  • Antioxidant- rich formulation cleanses, moisturizes and repairs, helping prevent damage to amino acids and protecting cell membranes
  • Aloe and seaweed extract help keep skin hydrated and improves natural firmness
  • Help lighten spots, reverse cell damage, and restore healthy skin.

You should squeeze a dime-sized amount onto moistened fingertips and lather with water. Massage cleanser into skin using circular motions and thoroughly rinse off with warm water. Ideal for makeup removal. Avoid direct contact with eyes.

Check out my full youtube review here:

You can also check out my video about introducing vitamin C to my skincare routine:

and my "Late Night Talk" about Vitamin C facial cleanser and how I use it/ first impressions:

And now, let's talk about Yeouth Balancing Facial Toner with chamomile, allantoin and alcloxa!

Yeouth Balancing Facial Toner is the optimal product to prepare your skin in the morning or night. The refreshingly cool mist moistens and soothes tired skin. It aids dermal cell healing, lessens irritation and reduced redness, helping restore skin tone.

I find that YEOUTH Balancing Facial Toner works beautifully in tandem with Vitamin C facial cleanser.

How it works:

  • Helps shrink the appearance of large pores and further cleanses the skin after washing.
  • Contains hydrating ingredients which are importnat immediately after cleansing to set the stage for moisturization
  • Has anti-inflammatory qualities which calm and help protect skin
  • Hypoallergenic formula neutralizes skin irritants
  • Helps promote the natural cell regeneration process of the skin
  • Adds a layer of protection to your skin
Yeouth Balancing facial Toner has exceptional soothing and moisturizing anti- irritants that enhance the efficacy and feel of dermatological and cosmetic formulations, leaving skin soft and supple.

How to use:

Wash and pat skin dry with your regular facial cleansing gel, then keeping eyes closed, spray a fine mist of balancing facial toner over face and neck. I usually follow it with a serum or peel, then with a moisturizer.

You can find out more in my video review here:

I hope this post was helpful in case you were interested to find out more about Yeouth skincare products and how they work!
It's been around two months already, that I use these products religiously in my skin care and I can say I'm very much satisfied and can recommend them to you!

* products were gifted to me by Yeouth, but all opinions are my own and I wasn't required to write this post if I didn't like them

Comfy Chic Lockdown Style: Femme Luxe Loungewear Sets!

Hello loves!

How are you all doing?
I'm doing fine, there are some good days and some days when I feel a bit blue and wonder when things are going to get back to normal.
But, I'm really trying to stay positive and focus on being creative, and make the most out of the time that I have, to work on creating content for my youtube, blog and instagram, or just to relax and unwind by watching a good tv show (btw, any recommendations? leave them to me in the comments!), and just take care of myself and my loved ones!

Since we're all spending most of our time in, I thought I'd give you some loungewear recommendations, from my favourite fashion brand, Femme Luxe. They currently have amazing selection of stylish, comfy and cozy sets at super affordable prices!

I think it's important to look cute and take care of yourself even if you're just staying in, because this will mentally help you to feel better about yourself and about the world in general!

The loungewear sets that I ordered from femmeluxefinery  are very comfy and cozy and I'm really enjoying wearing them at home.
Loungewear sets are very popular at the moment, as we're all pretty much dealing with the same situation and spending most of our time in our sweats, at home.

The first set that I ordered is grey tie front cuffed sleeve leggings loungewear set- Eliza. I choose size S/M (8/10), colour Grey. It's super soft, cozy and comfy, and very cute! It's also quite stretchy, so size S/M will definitely fit anyone from XS to M, no worries about that!

I tried to give you the link to this set, but currently appears to be sold out (loungewear sets are selling so fast these days, no wonder why!), so here I'm offering you a good alternative:

Grey Loungewear Tracksuit Set- Maria and it comes in black, khaki, wine and beige option too!

Next super cute set is this Houndstooth Short Sleeve Boxy Loungewear Set - Lacy

I ordered this one too, in a size S/M (8/10), and it fits perfectly! It's again very stretchy and comfy and it has quite a large fit, I'd say. Even if you're M/L, this size should fit you!

These sets are so stylish and well made, you can even wear them outside, for grocery shopping, running errands, everyday activities etc.

This set too, is unfortunately currently out of stock, but it'll be back soon!
I found a good alternative in this Snake Short Sleeve Boxy Loungewear Set - Lacy

It's actually the same model, just different pattern.
This model also comes in black, camel, khaki, white, grey, rust, rose and brown check. That's a variety of different colours, so I'm sure you'll find something for yourself!

My last pick from this order is Sage Satin Ruched Side Slip Mini Dress- Maeve, size 8, colour Sage

This cute dress also comes in black, red, rust and brown leopard colour options/ prints. I decided to go for this pretty sage colour because it reminds me of spring season, and the colour goes well against my pale skin.
I'd also like to wear this dress for going out, not only for lounging around the house.
For everyday, I'd style it over a simple white basic cotton tee, and jeggings!

Those are my newest picks that made me really cheerful when they arrived, as I was able to update my style even for just lounging around the house :-)
As I've mentioned before, all these items I'm going to be able to wear even for outside, as they're so cool and indeed well made.

I also ordered a pair of joggers but they didn't arrive in my order, as unfortunately they got sold out :-/

I really like these Dark Grey Cuffed Joggers - Lizzie, but they have so much more models and different colour options, so definitely take a peek!

In my next order I'll definitely pick some basic T shirts as Femme Luxe offers very cute print basic tees, that are ideal for everyday wear and you can style them with everything.

I hope you liked this "New In", let me know which set/ item did you prefer!
