I TOUCHED UP MY ROOTS AT HOME! MIXING KAY PRO INTENSE BLOND & LIGHT BLOND ASH & BOLD UNIQ PURPLE SHAMPOO FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Hello lovelies!

In my today's post I'm going to share with you a little vlog that I filmed two weeks ago, when I decided to touch up my roots at home. I used two different hair colors by Kay Pro (7.0 Intense Blonde, and Caviar Supreme line, 8.1 Light Blonde Ash). I didn't want to go extremely blonde on my roots, but I did desperately want to cover my dark roots and some grey hair (ouch!!!)

With a help of sales assistant / hairdresser at Beauty & Co. store, I decided to opt for the mixture of these two shades, because I wanted to stay on the safe side, achieve very natural shade of blonde, without having to use a very high level of developer (I went for 20 vol.)

In my vlog "BLONDE PROBLEMS! WATCH ME TOUCH UP MY ROOTS AT HOME! MIXING KAY PRO INTENSE BLOND & LIGHT BLOND ASH" I showed you step by step how I colored my hair at home and the final result, so I'm sure you'll find it interesting if you're thinking about doing something similar!

Luckily, recently I was sent one of the best purple shampoos on the market, Bold Uniq, to test out & review if I like it. I tried using it after having colored my hair, and the result was fabulous!

All these "selfies" were taken in natural daylight to show you how the result looks like, the last photo doesn't even have any filter (the first two just have the filter "smooth" from snapseed, which shouldn't influence how the actual hair color looks like.)

I'm sure this shampoo helped me a lot in getting the desired result. It truly is one of the strongest, most pigmented purple shampoos that I have ever tried out, and it really works!
In just a matter of minutes you can get those ashy / silver hues in your hair, or combat brassy or dull shades. Of course, the result depends on the colour of your hair that you're starting with (silver shampoo can achieve anything from muting brassy tones for a warm honey blonde, to a cool white platinum, depending on starting hair shade). I left it in my hair for cca 5 min. and the result was already very much visible! I'm going to keep using it once a week to maintain this color, and if it gets a bit too violet, I can easily wash it off with a clarifying shampoo.
I'm so pleased, I'm certainly going to film a separate review of this product! It’s paraben & sulfate free, vegan, and not tested on animals, and it has very pleasant, citrusy scent I'd say.
With the shampoo, I also got a small detangling brush which I liked very much! It's very similar to tangle teezer, or Macadamia "No tangle" brush, and it's also super handy to carry in your beauty bag, everywhere with you!

I hope you had fun watching my hair coloring vlog!
