FOTD & Make Up Chit Chat ♥

Hello lovelies!

I was testing out my new video camera :)

I wanted to film a make up tutorial, but instead I ended up doing a FOTD (face of the day) and a chit-chat, about the make up products that I'm currently using on a daily basis...

Let's see what's in my make- up bag, where I store all the make up that I'm using on a daily basis...

I got my red make up bag some time ago in Bipa drugstore in Croatia.
I like it because it's quite spacious, so all my daily necesities fit inside :)

What's in my make up bag?
Inside you'll find brands such as Chanel, Too Faced, Kiko, N.Y.C. & more!
It's packed fill with products ;)

I hope you enjoyed watching this make up chit chat!
Don't forget to press thumbs up on my video if you'd like to see more make up chit chats with me in the future :)

You can also support me by sharing this blog post with your friends :)

xoxo, S.

How to: Dress & MakeUp for Work in an Office

Hi girls!

Another fashion post, this time I'm playing with the styling appropriate for work in a more formal, office environment...

These types of videos are one of my most requested, and I'm pleased to come up with always new ideas for you guys!
Just in case you haven't seen them yet, here are my previous two fashion /styling videos for work in an office:

I hope those ideas were helpful!

Now, for this new "fashion in an office" video, I have put together a styling based around a sophisticated off-white lace top from H&M (currently still in stores, from their Conscious Collection),and a slim fit green pants.
Then I "elaborated" it by venturing into a color blocking theme, and making this trend too, appropriate for the office/ work fashion.
Let's see together the results:

(hit the play button above to watch my styling tutorial!)

The styling was evolved around two "basic" H&M items:
An off-white, lace top and a slim fit (in this case, green) pants (that came together with the thin, brown belt that I'm wearing in this pic.)
Both of these items are super affordable; the top retails at 14.95€ and the pants were at mid-season sale for only 5€ (original price was somewhere from 19.95€ to 24.95€, not that bad either!)

For a more formal effect, I'm wearing my lace blouse tucked inside of the pants.

I completed the styling with a brown, suede- like jacket from Bershka, and my brown studded bag from a local fashion store here in Italy, both of these tie in well with my thin brown belt.
Needless to mention, both green, and an off-white colour, go great together with brown!

In some work environments, because of the heavy-duty air conditioning, it can be quite chilly even on the hottest summer day!
To keep your health protected, I recommend to always go for a light- weight scarf, this will also be a great accessorie to complete your outfit!
I really like this leopard print one, from H&M, super trendy for this season with an orange colour, leo dots :)
At 5.95€ it's a steal!

In some environments, the dress codes can be so strickt, that you're only allowed to wear a minimal accessories.
So in this particular styling, depending on your office's rules, I might be wearing too much (but I really liked how these completed the whole look!).
I'm wearing a big, white cocktail ring (H&M), rose gold watch (Fossil), charm bracelet (New Look) and other two bracelets (green one: 1€uro store, brown one: H&M)
My "Sonja" necklace is silver and it was gifted by my Mum a few years ago :) It was handmade at "Carolija" jewellery store in Croatia!

How to wear color blocking trend for work?

It's easy!
Look at this example!

I'm wearing my cropped, orange jacket (Koan, available at Coin dept.stores)that I got past spring at my local thrift store (it was brand new, price tag still on!).
I think orange looks lovely with green, but these two shades that I'm wearing aren't too vibrant, bright or neon, and are just perfect, suitable for the office style.
So when talking about color blocking trend for work in an office, I'd definitely say yes, just make sure that the shades of the colours that you choose are a bit more "toned down" (I personally wouldn't recommend to wear for work/formal environment, for an example,a neon yellow top, with a neon pink pants...)

If, after work, you're heading to catch up with your friends, bring along, in your (bigger) day time bag,a small clutch, that you'll use later on in the evening.
You can also bring a pair of high heels to replace your comfy flats with, when, later on, you'll be meeting up with your friends!

These were my styling tips!
Now let's quickly touch another subject: Office appropriate make up! (FOTD here):

Keep your make up simple, fresh looking.
Focus on neutrals and the colours/ products that will only enhance your natural beauty & your best features!

My FOTD is acheived with the following products:
EsteΓ© Lauder, Benefit, Maybelline, Bourjois, Dior, Avon, Too Faced, L'Oreal, Kiko, Sleek.
(for a full list of the products used, check out my video!)
I really hope these little fashion & beauty tips were helpful & inspiring!

If you have any requests, feel free to let me know!

Kisss from Italy,
xoxo Sonja

Bioderma Solution Micellaire Sensibio H2O Review & a Quick OOTD/FOTD!

Hello girls!

In my new video, I'm giving you a quick review & a recommendation for an awesome make up remover!
I'm talking about Bioderma Sensibio H2O.

I love this make up remover, because it's super gentle, yet super effective!
It removes all the traces of make up from my face and it never irritates my skin, or my sensitive eyes :)
It manages to remove, without difficulties, even the heavy eye make up.
It also soothes my skin.
I buy my Bioderma at my local pharmacy here in Italy, usually I get the 500ml bottle, because it's more convenient price wise than the smaller one.
The 500ml one costs cca 14.00 €
This isn't the only product from Bioderma that I simply love! I also use their sunscreens, every summer that I'm spending at the beach, they're my must- haves!
If I'm going to the mountains, I'll also take the Bioderma sunscreens with me!
From my subbies & blog readers, I found out this product isn't available at the US :(
Sorry guys!
I hope it'll be available soon, because the Bioderma brand stands for the awesome quality at reasonable prices!
I've even heard that Bioderma Sensibio H2O make up remover is a must-have at any fashion show backstage & the models love it! ;)
You can find out more about Bioderma on their WEBSITE!

& here you can watch my complete video- review of the Sensibio H2O make up remover:

In this vid, I'm also showing you my OOTD/FOTD, so here are a few pics...

The focus is on my lips!
On my lips I'm wearing:
- Lip pencil by an italian brand "Quando Γ¨ solo per te"  in 01.

- non conventional beauty by Pupa Multiplay triple-purpose pencil in 18. (to define/highlight my cupid's bow)

On my face I'm wearing my MAC MSF in Medium Plus & on my cheeks Benetint by Benefit.

OOTD!

This cute top is from Pull & Bear fashion store.
My bold necklace (oh, I sooo <3 it!!!) is from a big, no-name jewellery/accessories store/warehouse in Italy.
The necklace is a part of B-deas Jewellery collection, my handmade & unique piece!
The name of this necklace is "The Sea" and it's available HERE! CLICK HERE for more info on the necklace!

Update On My Thrifted Tunic Dress & FOTD Vlog

Hello girls!

Remember my tunic dress that I thrifted a few weeks ago?
I showed it to you in my Money Can't Buy Style. Style Thrifted! (for 29€!) video.
Even though brand new, with the labels still on, it had a huge ink stain on the back, on the ruffle edge detail that I haven't noticed when purchasing it!
I DON'T KNOW HOW I MISSED THAT!!!
WHERE WAS I LOOKING?
Anyway, I'm really loving the tunic dress, it looks lovely!

So, I HAD to find a way to remove this ink (stamp: on the back it was written with ink: "Commercial Sample, Not for Resale" - LOL) stain!!!
In my video, I've asked you for advices and suggestions of what should I do and I want to thank to all of you who commented and sent your ideas!

The good news is THE STAIN IS GONE! :)

If you want to know how I removed it, watch my Vlog video that I just uploaded today on my MissTrendyKitty channel.
Also, you'll see my FOTD (face of the day) & a quick Vlog ;)

I'll talk to you again soon!

Thrift Store Finds Haul (pt.two) & Thrifting For Beginners... How To Successfully Thrift?

My thrift store mania continues... I seriously doubt if I'll ever shop at a regular store again! LOL

If you have never been into thrifting before, but recently you have been considering this idea, you might need some useful tips & know what to expect...
In this case, don't miss out on my "Thrifting for Beginners... How To Successfully Thrift!" video:

Just click on the play button to watch the video.
I think I can give you some quality advices because (not everybody knows this about me), when I was living in London, I used to volunteer 4 hours a day at my local PDSA (for  pets in need of vets) charity shop!

...

& now, here are all the fantastic deals that I got this time!

BLAZERS & SHIRTS:

Fun blazer by a brand "Please". Never heard of the brand, but I'm
loving the floral print!
If I'm not mistaken, I paid this 2 €...
But I might be mistaken, I possibly paid this only 1 €!!!

Floral print is definitely IN style for this season!

A nice blazer by Ann Taylor!

Again, the blazer was only 2 €!

100% silk shirt, branded by "Al Duca D'Aosta",
italian made.

1 € for this flowy, billowy shirt of an
extremely good quality!

A similar style, large, flowy & billowy, I'm
loving this pattern!
Only 1 €!

This type of shirts will look awesome tucked inside a high waisted skinny
jeans or a high waisted shorts, with a belt to complete the styling.

Suede like shirt in light beige colour.
This is currently a major trend in the fashion stores!
Check out H&M for the similar styles!
But nothing can beat the price of this one: 2 €!!!
;)

PANTS:

A brand new (with a tag still on) suede-like
grey leggings.
3€

I have a similar pants/leggings in a camel colour, bought
this winter during the sales period.
These are so comfy & go well with lots of things!
Also, very formfitting & flattering :)

Flare leg jeans are back in a big style!

I was happy to find a pair of original "Miss Sixty" wide leg jeans
for ONLY 1€ (!!!)
I'll have to shorten these a bit, as these are probably a '34 length
& I need a '32 to fit me perfectly!
(I'm 170 cm tall...I need to grow up a 5 more cm LOL...I wish)

ACCESSORIES:

A brown bag by Helix.
At first I wasn't really sure whether I should get this bag or not.
My friend convinced me to buy it and now I'm happy I did because
I have been wearing it almost every single day!
I just added a brown tassle that I bought at H&M, to modernize it a bit
& make it more trendy!
The bag was 0.50 €
(!!!)

A thin brown belt.
You always need these in your wardrobe, to style any outfit!
Price: 0.50 €
(!!!)

Isn't this a gorgeous girly colour?
It seems like a brand new, but I paid it
only 1 €!
:)

After all this, there is only one thing left to say: "I need to go back to this thrift store!!!"
Now, I'm sure, you understand me when I say I'll possibly never shop in a regular store again!!! ...
:D

You can also watch my "Thrift Store Finds Haul (pt. two) video by clicking here!

Regarding my OOTD & FOTD from the videos, I got compliments on my top & my necklace.
Both these items are from H&M (currently in stores, new collection).
I bought these before my thrifting experience, lol!!!

My make up is Danna Garcia (the colombian singer & actress) inspired look and the tutorial is coming up soon! ;)

These pics are just a little preview ;)
I think this tutorial is going to be something new, interesting, fun & refreshing for you guys to see!

xx Sonja
