How to: Dress & MakeUp for Work in an Office

Hi girls!

Another fashion post, this time I'm playing with the styling appropriate for work in a more formal, office environment...

These types of videos are one of my most requested, and I'm pleased to come up with always new ideas for you guys!
Just in case you haven't seen them yet, here are my previous two fashion /styling videos for work in an office:

I hope those ideas were helpful!

Now, for this new "fashion in an office" video, I have put together a styling based around a sophisticated off-white lace top from H&M (currently still in stores, from their Conscious Collection),and a slim fit green pants.
Then I "elaborated" it by venturing into a color blocking theme, and making this trend too, appropriate for the office/ work fashion.
Let's see together the results:

(hit the play button above to watch my styling tutorial!)

The styling was evolved around two "basic" H&M items:
An off-white, lace top and a slim fit (in this case, green) pants (that came together with the thin, brown belt that I'm wearing in this pic.)
Both of these items are super affordable; the top retails at 14.95€ and the pants were at mid-season sale for only 5€ (original price was somewhere from 19.95€ to 24.95€, not that bad either!)

For a more formal effect, I'm wearing my lace blouse tucked inside of the pants.

I completed the styling with a brown, suede- like jacket from Bershka, and my brown studded bag from a local fashion store here in Italy, both of these tie in well with my thin brown belt.
Needless to mention, both green, and an off-white colour, go great together with brown!

In some work environments, because of the heavy-duty air conditioning, it can be quite chilly even on the hottest summer day!
To keep your health protected, I recommend to always go for a light- weight scarf, this will also be a great accessorie to complete your outfit!
I really like this leopard print one, from H&M, super trendy for this season with an orange colour, leo dots :)
At 5.95€ it's a steal!

In some environments, the dress codes can be so strickt, that you're only allowed to wear a minimal accessories.
So in this particular styling, depending on your office's rules, I might be wearing too much (but I really liked how these completed the whole look!).
I'm wearing a big, white cocktail ring (H&M), rose gold watch (Fossil), charm bracelet (New Look) and other two bracelets (green one: 1€uro store, brown one: H&M)
My "Sonja" necklace is silver and it was gifted by my Mum a few years ago :) It was handmade at "Carolija" jewellery store in Croatia!

How to wear color blocking trend for work?

It's easy!
Look at this example!

I'm wearing my cropped, orange jacket (Koan, available at Coin dept.stores)that I got past spring at my local thrift store (it was brand new, price tag still on!).
I think orange looks lovely with green, but these two shades that I'm wearing aren't too vibrant, bright or neon, and are just perfect, suitable for the office style.
So when talking about color blocking trend for work in an office, I'd definitely say yes, just make sure that the shades of the colours that you choose are a bit more "toned down" (I personally wouldn't recommend to wear for work/formal environment, for an example,a neon yellow top, with a neon pink pants...)

If, after work, you're heading to catch up with your friends, bring along, in your (bigger) day time bag,a small clutch, that you'll use later on in the evening.
You can also bring a pair of high heels to replace your comfy flats with, when, later on, you'll be meeting up with your friends!

These were my styling tips!
Now let's quickly touch another subject: Office appropriate make up! (FOTD here):

Keep your make up simple, fresh looking.
Focus on neutrals and the colours/ products that will only enhance your natural beauty & your best features!

My FOTD is acheived with the following products:
Esteé Lauder, Benefit, Maybelline, Bourjois, Dior, Avon, Too Faced, L'Oreal, Kiko, Sleek.

I really hope these little fashion & beauty tips were helpful & inspiring!

If you have any requests, feel free to let me know!

Kisss from Italy,
xoxo Sonja
