Just a Little Vlog: Settling into My New Home in Italy

Well, hello, hello!

I realized, I haven't done a proper vlog in a while!
So in the period of time when I couldn't really sit down and do a beauty video, because I was so busy settling into my new home, I grabbed my photo camera and decided to do some vlogging for my MissTrendyKitty channel!

Please, enjoy watching my random little vlog about my life, here:

I'll talk to you soon,

My New Home: Work in Progress!

Hello dolls!

As you already know, I'm in the process of moving into my new home!
The work is slowly progressing, we're working on transering all the things (& building my customized wardrobe!!!) every day.

It's pretty stressful & exhausting, but once we finally get settled in, it'll be worth a while!

In almost 8 years that my hubby & I are together, we never had an actual place to call "our home".
We always traveled & moved a lot, never had our own place
(except for my hubby's workshop!).

That's why, having our own little space now, finally, feels so good & surreal!

I just returned from another "busy" day at our new home
(we still don't sleep there, as we haven't transfered the bed just yet!!!)
& wanted to give you guys a little update on how everything is going & post a few pics that I've taken today & over the past couple of days...

WARNING: (!!!) We're still at a very early stages of moving in, so everything is pretty messy & all over the place!

My clothes are piled in these black garbage bags!!!
My hubby IS in a temptation to actually throw a few in the garbage, as this isn't even the half of it!!!
I still have tons of clothes & shoes that I need to transfer...
I think I'll have to put a number on each of these bags, just in case...so nothing can "acidentally" go missing, lol!

A few pics that I've taken today...

The area where we're going to live is pretty quiet & peaceful, away from the noise & the traffic of a big town.
We're in the countryside side now!

Exceuse my hairstyle...or the lack of it!
My hair is up in a messy bun (it makes it easier to clean & organise things) and I really, desperately need my
hairdresser in Croatia!!!
oh well...will have to wait a couple of more weeks on that :( sighh

That's it for now :)
I hope you enjoyed this quick, little update!

I wanted to show you a glimpse of my new home, before I go MIA
(probably sometime next week, when we definitely move in our new home ...with our bed & all...)
I won't be able to get an internet connection right away, but I'll do my best to get it as soon as possible!!!
I swear, I feel a little bit sick every time I think I'll have to be without internet for a while!
I'm such a huuuge internet addict, I think I'll have to go through a "no-internet" crisis next week, lol

However, I'm still going to keep filming my beauty & fashion videos, so once I get my internet line, I'll have a material ready to upload :)

Have a lovely Sunday evening!

Shopping at Italian Open Market With My Friend Stefi! Vlog/OOTD/Haul!

Hi girls!

This is going to be a quick blog post, due to the fact that I just uploaded a new video on my youtube channel, & I think you'll enjoy watching it :)

Yesterday I went at the italian open market with my good friend Stefania & she kindly agreed to be featured in my video & say a few words about her outfit & just a big, big "HI (or, CIAO, ehm!)" to all of my lovely viewers & subbies!

We had a lovely time together and I managed to find a few nice pieces at a great price, so my conclusion was: "We have to go more often at the italian open market!"

In my video, I'm also showing you what did I buy, so make sure to check it out, you can click on the play button bellow, to watch it:

You'll see a gorgeous green coloured oversized blouse that I got for only 3 €, a Burberry inspired silk/cotton scarf & loads & loads of fun accessories: Earrings, bracelets and... colorful COCONUT WATCHES!!!

& yes, I remembered to quickly show you my OOTD :)

I wore my new faux leather shorts (& yes, I am preparing a video on how to style a faux leather shorts!)
by Tally Weijl fashion store.
I wanted to keep this styling casual chic, so I went for the oversized top by Matthew Williamson and a linen, military green, loose, vest from H&M.
When talking about a leather shorts, my fear is always to appear too sexy, agressive or "out there", which leads into trashy...this is why I completed the styling with oversized clothes on top and a pair of simple, black ballet flats!
I wanted to lead this styling into a trendy/casual/chic/rocker inspired direction!
You tell me, did I suceed in that?  (Hopefully I did!)
My ballet flats are Flyfor brand, bought here in Italy.
I'm also wearing: Chanel logo earrings,

Black leather cuff bracelet from H&M (men's dept.)
Avon jewellery watch with Swarovski crystals.
Black "Diva style" sunnies from H&M.
I bought my grey/black bag in Trieste, Italy, a few years ago.
My white skull scarf (that I was wearing as a bag accessorie) is from accessorize store called "Vanity".

I completed the styling with this adorable, sparkly Panda ring that I got at wholesale-dress.net
and the price of it is only $ 2.70!
You can purchase the same ring here, CLICK HERE!

& I think this is it! ;)

<3
My dear friend Stefi & I.
Un bacio a tutte!
xx Sonja
Ciaooo, ciaooo! ;)

Early Fall at the Italian Beach...

Hello girls!

So how was your Sunday?
Mine was very relaxing :)
My hubby & I went to Lido di Jesolo, a famous seaside resort in the Veneto region of Italy.
We didn't bring our bathing suits, but when we arrived there, we wished we had!
The weather was beautiful, sunny & warm!
We really enjoyed our walk, ice- creams & pizza cut!

We took a few pics for my blog...
This is how the early Fall looks like in Northern Italy...

I hope this beautiful weather lasts long because I'm not eager to experience the cold just yet!
(...Well, I never am, actually!)

Kisss from Italy xx
Ciao, ciao!

WHERE IS OUR FUTURE HOME GOING TO BE?

 Hellooo lovely ladies!

I hope you all had a great start to this week!
I had a good long sleep and then felt motivated to do my morning (ahem..almost midday) workout, and afterwards I felt great!
I did some housework & filmed a London Beauty & Fashion Haul video (the blog post with pics is coming up next...) & then my hubby & I went to an appointment that we had with another estate agency...
We're on a house hunt!
We're hoping to find our future home, sweet home in a next couple of months or a year :)
So this is what I'm doing almost twice a week- house hunting!
So far it's fun!
I pray we find our future sweet home that is going to be perfect for us in every way!

Here are some random pics of the properties we visited past week (as you're going to see, these are all houses that need to be rebuilt, reconstructed, as they're very old...but the properties are amazing in my opinion and full of potential...)

House # 1

the upstairs of the house is really spacious, with
3 big rooms...and an extra storage space (that could be a second
bathroom, or a walk in closet?) ;)

I fell in love with the garden!

I can immagine having lots of pets here! :)

House # 2

Yes, it's me on the pics :) These old properties would be a great setting for
my OOTD pics..lol..but I couldn't! lol, not in front of the estate agent!
It would be totally weird and awkward, wouldn't it? hihi ;D

So these are the houses we saw past week, tomorrow we have an appointment to see another one, but this one is new & furnished, ready to live in...
We're only just starting our search so we're keeping all options open!

How is your dream house supposed to be?

Thanx for reading girls & I'll talk to you soon :)

xoxo Sonja

Sunny Sunday& Venice Carnival (Una Domenica di Sole& Il Carnevale di Venezia)

Hello girls/Ciao ragazze!

How did you spend this Sunday? I hope everybody had an amazing day!
Today it was nice& sunny weather here in Italy so we went to see the famous Venice carnival.
There were so many people there I can't even describe it with words!
At some point we were standing still among the crowd, trying to go forward, but not being able to move as there were just too many people, it was incredible and even a bit scary.
I don't enjoy being squeezed among a crowd of people!

The good thing about today's day was that we spent it with our friends, walking a lot around Venice and...
my little Lush& MAC haul! :)
But I'm not going to share my haul with you in this blog post, there'll be another chance to do so!
I know you're curious to see what did I get, but you'll have to be patient a bit more (I have to take the pics& all...)
Besides, it's just a small haul anyways, as MAC is so expensive here in Italy (I got only two products, and I paid 54€!!!That's just too much!)

Davvero troppo!)

Now I'll leave you with some OOTD pics& just a few pics from Venice (I went to Venice so many times, I'm not even taking pics when I'm there anymore). But for you guys and my blog, I made an exception& made a few :)

Ready to take off to Venice :)
Pronta per la partenza :)

It was still quite cold, so warm clothes were a must!
Fa ancora abbastanza freddo, quindi i vestiti caldi sono d'obbligo!

No heels as in Venice I always walk a lot!

Here is what I was wearing today:

  • Army sweather 100% wool: It's an authentic army sweather, my Mum wore this when she was in the military as a doctor during the war in Croatia.
  • Grey scarf: H&M
  • Necklace: Bijou Brigitte
  • Belt: Jennifer
  • Hat: a local boutique in Italy
  • Jeans baggy fit: Pull& Bear
  • Purse: Kathy Van Zeeland
  • Brown legwarmers: a small boutique in Croatia
  • Chocolate brown Ugg boots (model mini)

  • Sciarpa grigia: H&M
  • Collana: Bijou Brigitte
  • Cintura: Jennifer
  • Berretto: Negozio locale in Italia
  • Jeans baggy fit: Pull & Bear
  • Borsa: Kathy Van Zeeland
  • Scaldamuscoli: Negozietto in Croazia
  • Stivali Ugg, modello mini

A few pics from Venice:
Alcune foto da Venezia:

Me in Venice :)
Io a Venezia :)

Just one from many interesting costumes!
Una delle maschere molto caratteristiche!

Walking through the streets of Venice...
Camminando sulle calli di Venezia...
A big kiss/un grande bacio

xoxo Sonja
